The Angkor Wat

How i Felt?

the human skull....
during pol pot - Cambodian communist, the leader of Khmer rouge

It was a good trip but not great.
The hotel was excellent, the tour guide - okay, the driver - good, the food - surprisingly okay as we went to malaysian reataurant - d'wau , the weather - hot hot hot, the people - so so.

I spent less than USD100 for pocket money. The expenses were mainly for Tips USD20, Sunrise @ Angkor Wat USD20, Scenery Painting USD11, T-shirt and silk pashmina USD30.

Package Price USD 155/person for 4D3N, tax USD 20, airfare RM394

Siem Reap market

The market sold the same stuff. The price? in USD. Its not too cheap or too expensive either. Lots of silk item, hand making potraits, bags, Cambodian Ruby and Sapphire and handicraft.

Floating Village at Tonle Sap Lake

Nothing much special about this lake except it is the biggest lake in Asia. School, church and house were built for the fisherman's family. According to John, its from the Mekong river.

The South Gate of Angkor Thom

This angkor is famous since the Tomb Rider film. The old and huge tree living in the angkor make it special and different. Soon they will cut off the tree as it has destroy the angkor.

Angkor Silk Farm

After experiencing the silk making process and production, I’m having a second thought about wearing a silk baju kurung. Its complicated and at the same time tedious job. The mulberry fields, the worm and the breeding…arghhhh.. its too much. I rather stay with my calculator.

What surprised me the most is that after all the making process, they eat the worms. Yucks!

Sunrise over Angkor Wat

We started our day at 4.30 am and pay additional of USD20, to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Hundred of people were there (with high-end SLR camera :-) ). The dog poops is everywhere.

Sunset over Angkor Wat

february muncul kembali

Semalam saya menonton ‘Ally’ di tv. Hari ini, oprah. Topik yang sama. Tentang cinta. Ya lah. Bulan Februari.. katanya bulan cinta. Saya tidak pasti sama ada saya masih percaya pada cinta. Tetapi saya terharu melihat manusia manusia ini willing to go the extra miles, for the name of love.

I don’t want to fall in love for the wrong reasons. But then, I start to think what could be the right reasons. What could be the right reasons when I have so many doubts about love, human being and marriage institution?

One thing I’m sure. There’s no such thing as happily ever after.

Hujan masih tidak berhenti di dalam hati.
