Charging my Hope

So many things  had happened and I miss blogging. I have been spending most of my time at the office. How cool is that kan :p  Not a day of leave taken this month and most all of my weekends I spent it for work. Such dedication, such passion, such... zzZzZz...

I need to jot down few things that had happened this month as a note to myself.

1. My so called mentor passed away. He has been sick for quite some times. I'm glad our path crossed and I'm honoured knowing someone like you. A great leader with a beautiful heart. Always giving, always sharing. Thank you sir. You have shown me that no act of kindness is ever wasted. Al-Fatehah.

2. One of my bff in trouble. Not her fault but as a family, you need to handle the shit. I think about it so hard as what she had requested is not an easy thing to be done. Make a risky decision and decided to lend her my hand. I just cant let her down and do nothing, if something bad happen to her and the family, I'm sure I will regret it. I understand the risk and I knew this is my best effort therefore the end result - saya redha. Saya mahu jadi kawan semasa susah.

3. Another bff in a difficult situation. Her baby sick, coma for more than three weeks now. Visiting her in the hospital, my heart bleed. I respect her - for being strong and not giving up hope. Always there for her baby. and keep on trying. There was a moment that I felt like I wanted to cry, but I did not. She told me that the only best friend she has now is her baby. I understand her completely.

4. Charity oh Charity. Don't be a giver when you are in doubt. Be a giver when you know everything will be a complete free of charge. No expectation, no terms and conditions and zero return. With super duper heavy heart, I visited their home of love. I requested them to return back. Without hesitation, without excuses, they have agreed - even though they do not have any clue how to make it happen. I learned my lesson the hard way. Partly it was my mistake too.

5. Ex-officemate passed away. Al - Fatehah.

6. When both of parents are sick, I know its tough. Double it. Hang in there my friend. Be strong. Somehow it reminds me of the old saying “This too shall pass” - Every situation is temporary, good or bad.

7. A feedback from an old friend during an early morning breakfast : I'm heartless. Having so much things on my shoulder turns me into robot. I just want to get things done. Anything in between - doesn't really matters. It's the result that counts.
I'm not Heartless. I just learned to use my Heart Less. - anynomous
Maybe its Black April. Good Night. Sleep well. Tomorrow, we shall say Good Morning to Ms May :)

Home Sweet Home

I really missed the comfort of home. I'm actually here not going anywhere. Not on travelling mode. But I missed home. Rindu untuk melepak di rumah sendiri. Kelakar kan.

Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave, and grow old wanting to get back to - John Ed Pearce

It has been many many weeks of  looong day at work. Be it weekdays or weekend.

I just need to be calm and carry on.

Flawed + Awesome

= Flawsome

I read this from the edge newspaper

In this day and age, it has become more difficult to hide from your failures. Our world is so filled with real-time, tell-all social media that it's better to admit something is wrong and address it in as authentic and transparent a way as possible.

Trendwatching.com calls this trend 'Flawsome'. Definition:

Consumers don't expect brands to be flawless. In fact, consumers will embrace brands that are FLAWSOME*: brands that are still brilliant despite having flaws; even being flawed (and being open about it) can be awesome. Brands that show some empathy, generosity, humility, flexibility, maturity, humor, and (dare we say it) some character and humanity.

More and more brands are adopting this transparent marketing strategy of - " Hey, i'm not perfect, but I tried really hard".

I should adopt the flawsome philosophy too - Flawed and Fabulous me :)

Krabi, Thailand

It has been looong day at work for the past few weeks and more to come. It's like non-stop marathon, challenging my endurance and patience. I'm totally worn out. Maybe if I cared less, I wouldn't be so stressed.

“When you’re unhappy, everything else seems a lot better”, - somehow I agree with the statement. Don't you think?

Taking time off to Krabi - Sea, Sand and Sun plus a good massage :)

The Unknown

Last few days when I had my lunch at the arab cafe, the TV showed Jason Mraz video clip - I'm Yours. At that moment I really felt it. I miss traveling so much. Yep, I mean so much.. sangat-sangat.

I tried to figure out what is it that i really miss? There's thousand of things to complain about when I travel. Macam-macam. The expensive ticket, the loong hours in bus or plane, the food, the cleanliness, the people (yang menipu pun byk juga), sakit kepala, lack of sleep, language, bad weather, moody and fussy partner (termasuklah bila ada yang cancel last minute) etc. Ini belum lagi pre arrangement for travel - to work out the budget, to find partner, suitable travel date, cheapest flight, hotel and places to visit. Di tambah lagi dengan stress kerja and applying for leave. Aduh.

But, most of all - I'm afraid of getting lost. I get terrified. I get an instant panic and anxiety attack. To make thing worst - I have very bad sense of direction. Betul.

But that doesn't stop me.

It reminded me of a conversation that I had many years back. I told him that I always have this fear around me. Fear of what? I don't know. But I always surrounded  by fear. I always have what if negative attitude - What if something bad happen to me. The fear of the Unknown.

You do not travel if you are afraid of the unknown, you travel for the unknown, that reveals you with yourself. - Anonymous

That is what travel allows me to do and somehow it change me, for good i hope :} I learned new things every single day when i travel.

Btw, I saw this video clip yesterday @ MTV while waiting my car to be service.Oh he changed and I give up to understand what the clip is all about :) but the song is beautiful.

Of Honesty and False Hope

What the mind doesn’t know, the heart doesn’t feel - Anonymous

That's the thing about being honest.

When your mind knew, your heart felt it. The truth and the real truth. Conflict happens when being honest is not the option you have.

Result doesn't lie. Numbers doesn't lie. Its either you have reasons or excuses to justified. There's a thin line separate these two and honestly, I don't have any reasons or any excuses to give.

So, when she mentioned that its like watching an old movie over and over again, I get it. I got what she meant. Clearly.

Honestly - I felt the same thing.

But when you did not have anything to give - what would you do? You give HOPE. And this thing call HOPE makes you continue the journey. In a hope that the journey is worth it.

Question - Can i give false hope to myself and others?
